projects 3: the potentiometer
These projects are an introduction to analog signals. Unlike the momentary switches that produce a digital signal of either ON or OFF, the potentiometer produces a voltage signal that can range between zero and 5 volts. We use the analog-digital converter that's built into the microcontroller to measure the voltage signal and convert it into a usable, digital number. We then use these numbers to create interesting effects using other circuits on the Arno.
